Semilunar
Implements
These limestone and sandstone
implements, apparently for chopping, cutting, scraping, or
abrading, are
one of the more common templates in the assemblage. In
almost all instances, they are distinctly contoured for a
right-handed grasp. |
The seven implements above show a
feature that appears quite frequently throughout the assemblage,
also on scrapers of other shapes. This is the ledge carved
typically at about 45 degrees from the proximal end to the upper
bit edge, providing for advan- tageous positioning of the index
finger.
