As is often the
case, the bottom of this figure was flattened to let it stand
upright. It appears that the features of the
face are natural contours of the rock surface, and the overall
form of the figure as well as the wing are artificially carved
and ground. The roughly 45° line separating face and body
appears to have been carved with a sharp implement.
